Our Story

Since 1914

In 1914, long ago,
when crushed ice was being sold,
a man, who would carry the name of 5 generations,
started this tavern of temptations. All for selling the family wine,
which was produced in El Bruc, Can Pascual,
a unique tavern to define.
A place like this
should have a name
that no one would miss.
It was not just a one man’s business,
but that of a family set.
A beautiful and curious case to witness.
Quimet & Quimet came to symbolize
unity and support under every eye.
He did not only serve wine, he was a tavern keeper
and also made great tapas to be eaten.
It began with morning foods,
which was genuinely popular in those times.
Then came the vermouth and canned goods,
the best anchovies and reserve wines.
As the years went by,
we survived every obstacle time presented the best we could.
But thanks to our effort and dedication,
we’ve persevered in our profession.
The PRESERVES; the art of preserving
good food after it’s been canned,
a true gift for the gourmand.
We have convincing evidence
that our tapas are of gastronomic reference.
